Pre-Requirements:

  • The Tab S 10.5 LTE. should be rooted.
  • The latest version of a custom recovery (CWM or TWRP) should be installed on your phone.
  • Take a proper backup (Nandroid ROM Backup) of all the important data
  • Check the battery level of your phone, it should be charged at least about 80% to avoid unexpected shutdowns while flashing the ROM.

How to Safely Install Android 6.0 Marshmallow On Galaxy Tab S 10.5 LTE (SM-T805)

Step By Step Guide

  1. First of all, Download all the files linked above and copy them to your device.
  2. Now Reboot into recovery. Go into wipe menu. Select “Advanced Wipe”. Check
    • Dalvik Cache
    • System
    • Cache
    • Data

    and wipe them. Don’t reboot just yet.

  3. Go into install zip option in the recovery.
  4. Browse for the downloaded ROM and flash aosp-XXX.zip
  5. Similarly, flash Gapps.zip after the ROM installation completes.
  6. Then flash SuperSU.zip that you downloaded to have root access on your tablet.
  7. Reboot your tablet.
  8. Copy SuperSu and Gapps zip to ‘/sdcard/OpenDelta/FlashAfterUpdate’ so that they are automatically applied after OTA update.

The ROM has OTA support with delta updates, so you do not need to download and flash the entire ROM each time an update comes out.
