LG V40 ThinQ Android 9 Pie update released with July Patch in India

LG V40 ThinQ is the LG’s flagship series smartphone launched back in the last year 2018. While the device becomes available in India this year. Now, the LG V40 ThinQ Android 9 Pie update released with July Patch in India. We all know LG products are quite good in terms of the specifications and features. But they’re quite costly as well as compared to other devices. Additionally, LG update track record isn’t that good enough. The company literally provides slower software updates to its devices even to the flagship ones. Though the V40 ThinQ runs with the older Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, it’s priced around 44K in Indian market which seems pricey.

LG V40 ThinQ Android 9 Pie with July Patch

LG is now trying to gain the users’ faith by providing the latest Android 9.0 Pie update to its V40 ThinQ device along with July 2019 Android Security Patch level and more. The software update also brings some of the system improvements, camera improvements, dual-app, etc. While the users also reported that the update offers YouTube Live, Penta shot, Cine shot, Part slow-motion video in India.

The software update size is around 1.5GB it’s reportedly rolling out to the V40 ThinQ devices gradually in the country. If you’re an LG V40 ThinQ user, you may have to wait for a few days more. Additionally, if you can’t wait for more, you can manually check for OTA updates on your phone via Settings.

  • From the Home screen, tap on Settings.
  • Tap on the ‘General’ tab.
  • Now, tap on Update Center.
  • Tap on System update.
  • Then tap on Check for an update.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the latest software update.
