Microsoft has officially released the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25197 for the Dev Channel and it has already started rolling out for Insiders on the Dev Channel. Microsoft releases the Insider preview builds on a weekly basis for the different available channels.
The last build to the dev channel was released last week and it had some new features and the same is true for the new Insider build.
The new Windows 11 Build 25197 comes with new features and changes. With the latest Windows build that Microsoft re-introduced the tablet-optimized taskbar. It’ll work well with 2-in-1 laptops and the feature is only for devices that can be used as tablets and not for Laptops or Desktops. The System Tray has received changes as well and it isn’t just for 2-in-1 devices but for all PCs. The users will now be able to see the rounded focus and hover treatment on the icons in the lower right.
Changes and improvements in the new update
The update will roll out animated icons and illustrate them in the Settings App. With the animated icons in the navigation bar, Microsoft continues to grow the motion design principles to transform the familiar interactions from something purely functional to something that’s also delightful.
There are small tweaks that started rolling out with Build 25179 to improve the key repeat rate for the traditional touch keyboard layout as well as for the default touch keyboard layout such that it feels more responsive and available to the Windows Insiders in the Dev channel. Now, it’ll come with the rate of 20 keys per second.
