Moto X4 August Patch rolling out with software version PPWS29.69-39-2-4

Lenovo-owned Motorola brand has started rolling out a new software update for the Moto X4 model. Moto X4 August Patch rolling out with the software version PPWS29.69-39-2-4. Though the new software update doesn’t bring any other features or improvements to the system. The device was launched back in 2017, October with Android 7.1 Nougat. Currently, the device is running on Android 9.0 Pie stable version for a few months. It’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC as a mid-ranger budget device at that time.

The mobile chipset manufacturer Qualcomm has recently announced the bunch of vulnerabilities called QualPwn. Though there is no smartphone users noticed any kind of severe attack on their device, smartphone OEMs are trying to provide the latest August 2019 Android Security Patch Level. The August security patch offers an improved and latest security measures to the device system. The Motorola Moto X4 doesn’t get any other improvements or functionalities with this new update.

If you’re using the Moto X4 handset and haven’t received the OTA update yet, you can check for the OTA update manually on your device. Go to the device Settings > System > Advanced > System updates. If the latest update is available on your device, just download and install the OTA.
