Realme will be unveiling the Android 13-based firmware for its devices in India soon. In China, the next iteration of this skin is known as the Realme UI 4.0, which is why the same firmware is expected to be released in India too. The Realme UI 4.0 will be based on Android 13 and Realme has already started the beta testing phase for the new skin in India. The expected release date for Realme UI 4.0
In August, Realme announced that the beta update will be starting for Realme UI 4.0 for its flagship model, Realme GT 2 Pro. Realme users can expect the OEM to start rolling out the new Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 update in October or November 2022. It’s worth mentioning that the company has already started rolling out the beta version or early access for the devices in India.
Top features of Realme UI 4.0
Aquamorphic theme
Aquamorphic isn’t a new name for Oppo or OnePlus users as both OEMs have used this theme on their latest Android skins. The same will now be used by Realme for its latest Android skin. The name is inspired by Aqua, which means water and hence the theme features a combination of blue and white colors.
New media playing controls
Android 13 brought along a new media player and the same will be implemented by Realme on its latest skin. The new media player will receive a large rectangular cut on the notification tray with new controls and more space for the song title and description.
Large folders
Realme will be bringing in a large folder option on the Realme UI 4.0 update. The company might be naming it a Big Folder or Large Folder. The feature will let Realme users store multiple apps in a single folder on the home screen.
Dynamic widgets
Realme has come up with new Dynamic Widgets on the upcoming Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0, which will allow users to add new widgets that update data in real-time. For instance, there’s a step tracker, photos, sporting events, weather, phone manager, clock, and more widgets.
