Redmi Note 10 Pro and Note 10 Pro Max get MIUI 12.5 stable update

Xiaomi starts rolling out MIUI 12.5 update to Redmi Note 10 Pro and Note 10 Pro Max users in India. It may seem a minor increment to MIUI 12 but actually, it brings some major changes including the reduced CPU usage, improved battery efficiency, and more.

Currently, the update is rolling out to MIUI Pilot testers and will start rolling out to non-pilot users in the coming days. The update can be identified by firmware version V12.5.1.0.RKFINXM and weighs 732MB in size. It is recommended to download such a bulky package over a Wi-Fi connection.

Xiaomi claims that MIUI 12.5 is faster and lighter than previous generations of MIUI. The new MIUI 12.5 brings a revamped system UI which reduced the CPU usage by up to 22% and lowers power consumption by up to 15%. The gesture response is now instant, thanks to dedicated threads. The update brings gesture shortcut, dynamic layout, new camera modes, customizations, and allows users to install the majority of pre-installed apps.

For those who can’t wait to get their hands on with MIUI 12.5, we have added a download link of the latest package that requires manual installation. Note that, we don’t recommend users flashing any ROM, until they don’t know about flashing, and the problems it may bring. To manually check for  the MIUI 12.5 on Redmi Note 10 Pro / Note 10 Pro Max, head to Settings >> About phone >> System update.
