Samsung Galaxy A53 picks up January 2023 security update

Samsung has begun rolling out a new update for users of its Galaxy A53 smartphone, bringing the January 2023 security patch update to improve system security and stability.

The update installs the latest Android patch and comes with fixes for 52 Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) and 20 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVEs) that significantly impact the phone’s security and users’ privacy.

The latest update can be recognised by One UI build version A536EXXS4BWA4 and is currently being rolled out in Brazil, Paraguay and Bolivia. The update is being rolled out in stages in these countries. It may take some time before the update is available on all devices.

Samsung Galaxy A53 will be getting One UI 5.0 update soon

Samsung has also started testing a major version of One UI on the Galaxy A53 with version A536EXXU4CWA1 and is expected to release it soon after the official launch of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series smartphone with One UI 5.1 at the Galaxy Unpacked event on 1 February.
