Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo Pie update rolling out in India

Another Galaxy J-series smartphone called Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo Pie update rolling out in India. The Galaxy J7 Duo was launched in some of the markets. It was the first-ever J-series device which was powered by the Samsung Exynos 7884 SoC. The handset was launched back in 2018 with quite good specifications at its price point. Currently, the South-Korean smartphone brand Samsung started rolling out the latest Android stable version.

The firmware update is currently out in India with a size around 1.27GB OTA. It brings Samsung’s new One UI (v1.1) custom skin with improved security and stability. However, the Galaxy J7 Duo doesn’t get all the core features of Android 9.0 Pie and One UI yet. Samsung will provide all the possible features to this device in future updates via batches. Most importantly, the firmware update brings the latest Android Security Patch level to the system which prevents system vulnerabilities.

The latest software update includes the July 2019 security patch and comes with the software version of J720FDDU4BSG7. If you’re using the J7 Duo in India region, you will soon get the OTA update notification on your handset. But if in case, you didn’t get the OTA notification, you can check for the updates manually. Just go to the device Settings menu > tap on Software update option. If the update is available on your phone, simply go for Download and Install option.

After installing the update, the device will reboot to the new system automatically. Have some patience, it will take some obviously. Till then, stay tuned for more info.
