Samsung releases Nougat update to the Galaxy Tab S2.

Samsung has been on a roll lately by releasing updates perfectly on time to all its smartphones be it security patches or the software updates. One thing with giving the timely security patch release is that even though the phone is running a older version of Android on the phone then also the security patch can help in keeping the device safe and secure and the users don’t feel a need to get the latest software on their phones. Though, Samsung has now released the latest security patch i.e the April security patch just released a few days back to one of its tablets which is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2.

Both the 8.0-inch (SM-T715) and 9.7-inch(SM-T810) variants of the Galaxy Tab S2 are getting the Nougat update. However, the updates are only available in some regions as of the now. The 8.0-inch Tab S2 is getting the update in Italy only, whereas those in Germany are seeing the update notification on the 9.7-inch Tab S2.

The update is a major one, obviously, and weighs about 1GB in size. It brings a new UX to the Tab S2, several new features, improvements and bug fixes. It will also install the latest April Android security patch. Users also get the new Samsung Game Launcher with this update.

If you have received the Nougat update on your Tab S2, make sure the device is sufficiently charged before installing it. One thing to note about the update whenever it comes to your phone is to ensure that you are connected to an appropriate WiFi connection to make sure the update has been downloaded fully and the update process can be done without any hiccups.
