Recently, Samsung started testing the One UI 5 Beta Update on Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. A week later, both devices picked up a second incremental beta upgrade. Now comes the time to release another incremental upgrade, the One UI 5.0 Beta 3.
Samsung has been pushing the new Beta Build for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and it comes with the firmware version ZVJF and it is available in South Korea. It’ll also become available for other regions soon. As for the Galaxy Z Fold 3, the third beta update is currently available in India. This update will bump up the monthly security patch to November 2022 on Galaxy Z Fold 3.
Changelog for the One UI 5.0 Beta 3 Update
As for the changes, the One UI 5.0 Beta 3 Update will address the no audio issue in buds when you were changing source through the media panel in BT Carkit, bring improvements to performance issues, fixed the wallpaper temporarily appearing smaller when the device is unfolded, and more. The update will also fix the bug where the taskbar disappeared when unfolding after using a gesture or the device restarting after receiving a notification from the Signal app. The new beta update has also brought improvements to the camera app including Camera focusing issues when switching between lenses, the camera cannot enter AR Emoji Studio, camera previewing stuttering, removing the flicker in super slow motion editor, and more.
Steps to install the new One UI 5.0 Beta 3 Update for Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Fold 3
If you’re a Galaxy Z Flip 3 user in South Korea or a Galaxy Z Fold 3 user in India, you will be receiving the OTA update on your phone as long as you’ve joined the One UI 5 Beta Program. If you have not joined the Beta Program yet, there will be no point in joining this program now as the stable update is expected to come out soon.
If you want to check for the update manually, head over to Settings -> Software Update. It’ll show you the One UI 5.0 Beta 3 Update and you’ll need to tap on Download and Install button to get the new beta update.
