Samsung updates Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 to Stable Android 13 (One UI 5)

The stable version of Samsung’s One UI 5, based on Android 13, is currently in development. As of now, a number of Galaxy devices have received the Android 13 update, and that number is expected to grow rapidly in the near future. After extensive beta testing, the stable Android 13 update is finally rolling out to the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3. Let’s see what the latest revision has in store for us.

Samsung announced the official One UI 5 roadmap for multiple regions earlier this month. Both the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 will receive the update this month. As for the third-generation foldables, the stable Android 13 is being released. Fourth-generation foldables also received the update a few days ago.

In India, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is receiving the stable Android 13 update with the build number F711BXXU3DVK3. The newest update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 beta testers is version F926BXXU2DVK3. It’s business as usual, so the update will roll out to everyone and everywhere soon. If you want to avoid any hiccups during the download of this massive update (over 2GB in size), be sure to connect to WiFi.

As the first major update was Android 12 based on One UI 4, this will be the second major update for both foldables. Like the Android 13 update for other devices, the new version introduces a number of improvements and changes. Features like faster animations, larger widgets, more colour options, more control over the lock screen, fresh backgrounds, the ability to stack widgets, additional Bixby routines, enhanced multitasking, and more are all part of the update.

Given that it includes a changelog not dissimilar to that of the Galaxy S22 update, you can learn more about the capabilities of One UI 5 on this page.

The OTA update is on the way to users of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 in India. Those of you who haven’t yet received the upgrade may soon. It can be released at any time, so users in other regions don’t have to wait too long. If for some reason you aren’t getting update notifications on time, you can always check for updates yourself by going to the Settings menu, then selecting Software Update, and then clicking Download and Install.

Samsung Galaxy users should remember to back up their data and charge their devices to at least 50% before installing the Android 13 based One UI 5 update.
