T-Mobile to release an incremental OTA update to the LG G6 in the U.S.

LG released its much awaited LG G6 at the MWC in Barcelona this year in February after the failure of the LG G5 last year. LG failed to gain any profits at all from the LG G5 last year and the phone came into controversies one after the other with several bootloop issues forcing the phone to shut down on its own. LG was also sued for this issues on the LG G5 and the decision of this case is hanging in the court. LG wanted the public to forget about its LG G5 phone and the company has successfully managed to do so by launching the LG G6 with a unique-near-bezelless design.

The launch of the LG G6 in the U.S is set for April 7 but T-Mobile has already started shipping the LG G6 phones to the customers who ordered through T-Mobile. Not only has the carrier shipped the phone early, they have also released an update already to the LG G6 which has some enhancements to the phone but nevertheless, an update is an update at the end of the day.

Meanwhile, LG G6 is about to go on sale in Canada today itself via Bell carrier. In the US, T-Mobile commenced shipping G6 to customers on March 24th, two weeks ahead of the smartphone’s April 7th official release.

As is the essential part in every software update and now that the LG G6 is getting an update from the biggest carrier in the U.S, T-Mobile, the carrier recommends your LG G6 device to meet the following requirements: at least 50% battery life, Wi-Fi data connection and free space on internal storage.

As for the update version, T-Mobile has listed on its page that the version no. H87208b will be launched on April 7 which happens to be the release date of the LG G6 in the U.S.
