After releasing the March 2023 security update to the carrier-locked variants of the Galaxy A53 in the United States, Samsung has now started rolling out the update to the factory-unlocked version of the Galaxy A53.
The new software update comes with firmware version A536U1UES8DXC2. It is now available for the factory-unlocked version of the Galaxy A53 in the US. It is compatible with all carrier networks in the country.
The update package is relatively compact in size. The update is being rolled out in a staged manner. It’s an incremental update which doesn’t bring any new features but stability and performance improvements along with the latest March 2024 security patch.
You can download it by navigating to Settings > Software Update and tapping on “Download and install.” Alternatively, you can manually install the update by downloading the firmware file from our database and using the Odin tool on a Windows PC.
In case you’re unable to receive the update notification, go through the Samsung stock firmware download and installation guide to manually flash the latest software version, depending on your device model. Do remember one thing though: flasing firmware manually involves a very high risk of bricking your device, so we recommend waiting for the OTA update to come.
This update brings the March 2024 security patch, which addresses 44 security vulnerabilities. If you own the device and received the update, let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below.
