New update for Verizon’s Galaxy Z Fold 2 brings new camera features and April 2021 security patch

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 on the Verizon network is now receiving a new software update. It brings the latest security patch released in April 2021 and some new features in the camera department.

The update now allows the use of ultra-wide lens in Pro and Pro Video camera modes. It also changes the background for Portrait shots using the new High-Key Mono, Low-Key Mono, and Backdrop effects. The Auto Night Mode feature allows automatic detection of low light in Photo, Portrait, and Hyperlapse camera modes and then turns of Night Mode for better image quality.

The is the system update number 7 for Galaxy Z Fold 2 which carries software version  RP1A.200720.012.F916USQU1DUCE. If you’re a Galaxy Z Fold 2 user on Verizon’s network then you’d have already received the update. If not, then manually check for the update by navigating to Settings >> Software update.
