The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has recently launched two new NEX series devices. The Vivo Nex 3 and Vivo Nex 3 5G smartphones are official now. You can also say that it’s the successor model of the previous generation NEX 2. The device will go on sale in China on September 21. The phone comes with pressure-sensitive side keys which offers a special vibration feel. It includes 64MP rear primary camera, flagship Snapdragon 855+ SoC, 44W ultra-fast charging support, etc.
The device features a FullView screen with pop-up selfie camera module which is motorized. While the display supports HDR10 content, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and triple rear camera setup. The NEX 3 5G is another variant which offers the same specifications with 5G connectivity.
Vivo Nex 3 Specifications
The Vivo Nex 3 and Nex 3 5G phone come with a Waterfall screen with curved edges. It runs on Android Pie over Funtouch OS 9.1 skin. The dual-SIM device packs a 6.89-inches Full-HD+ AMOLED Waterfall display with 1080×2256 pixels resolution and supports HDR10 content. It has a 99.6 percent screen-to-body ratio. It’s powered by the 2.96GHz Snapdragon 855 Plus octa-core chipset with Adreno 640 GPU. While the memory is up to 12GB RAM and storage is up to 512GB onboard.
The device sports a triple rear camera setup embedded in a rounded ring at the back panel. It has a 64MP primary Samsung GW1 sensor with an f/1.7 aperture lens. While there are a 13MP ultra-wide angle 120-degree sensor and a 13MP tertiary telephoto sensor with 2X optical zoom and 10x digital zoom. There is a 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture lens in a pop-up module.
It packs a decent 4,500 mAh battery with 44W ultra-fast charging support. In terms of the connectivity options, it includes a 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, GPS, etc.
Price and Availability
Vivo Nex 3 is priced at CNY 4,998 (INR 50,600 approx) for the 8GB+128GB variant. While NEX 3 5G is priced at CNY 5,698 (INR 57,700 approx) for the 8GB+256GB variant. The 12GB+256GB variant is priced at CNY 6,198 (INR 62,700 approx).
Both the NEX 3 and NEX 3 5G models will be available in Black and White color options. It will go on sale in China on September 21, 2019. In the coming few months, the devices will be available in other countries as well.
