Vivo Y12 launched with MediaTek Helio P22 SoC and 5000 mAh Battery

Vivo has recently launched a new Y-series smartphone called Vivo Y12 in the Indian market. It’s priced at Rs12,490 for the single memory variant. The device features a dewdrop notch display and a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset under the hood. The Vivo Y12 comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage options.

It features a triple rear camera setup of a 13MP primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle sensor, and third 2MP depth sensor for bokeh effects. The Super-Wide-Angle lens offers a 120° field-of-view effect. The front camera features AI Face Beauty as well.

Meanwhile, the front features an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture lens. It also features AI Portrait mode, Panorama, HDR, Beautification mode, and AI Face Unlock as well. The device packs a 5,000 mAh non-removable battery. It’s available in two colour options like Burgundy Red and Aqua Blue.

The Vivo Y12 sports a 6.35-inches FullView IPS LCD display with a 19.3:9 aspect ratio. Whereas, it comes with a dewdrop notch with an 89-percent screen-to-body ratio. The handset is powered by Mediatek Helio P22 SoC (12nm process) and paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. The phone packs a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It runs on Vivo Funtouch OS 9 on the top of Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. It also features dual-band (2.4G+5G) Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, Micro-USB port, FM Radio, dual Nano-SIM, etc.

The Vivo Y12 gets a dedicated gaming mode called ‘Ultra Game Mode’. This feature offers a better system and background processes during the gameplay and controls calls or notifications as well. The phone includes accelerometer, ambient light, compass, gyroscope, proximity, and a fingerprint sensor. The Vivo Y12 measures 159.43 x 76.77 x 8.92mm and comes with a weight of 190.50 grams.
