The Companion Not Following issue can be due to various reasons, including the new party split feature. However, one of the unspoken rules says that you should never split a party. The developers have still added an opportunity. For instance, you can surround enemies even before the start of the battle.
To fix the Companions Not Following issue in the game, you’ll have to unite your team. To do that, you should drag your character’s portrait from the bottom of the screen to the one on the left side of the screen. If you’re doing everything right, there won’t be any space between the portraits, and your friends will start following you again.
You can then unite your team using the Fast Travel feature. You should select each Companion and fast-travel them to the same place. After that, fast-travel your character and join your party.
