How to enable Auto-Confirm Unlock feature in Android 14

On July 11th, Google announced its latest Android 14 Beta 4 version for Pixel smartphones. This new beta version comes with a variety of bugs and improvements. Alongside new features, Google has also released an Auto-confirm unlock feature in Android 14 for Pixel devices.

It will allow you to unlock the device’s lock screen instead of confirming the lock screen PIN. In this guide, you will get to know more about how to unlock auto-confirm unlock feature in Android 14.

What is the auto-confirm unlock feature in Android 14?

In the new Android 14 Beta 4 version, Pixel smartphones will have the new Auto-confirm unlock feature, which will automatically unlock your device’s lock screen and you won’t need to wait to confirm your lock screen PIN. When you’re typing your PIN, your device will unlock automatically without waiting for confirmation.

In this feature, the enter button has been removed from the PIN input as it doesn’t require the enter button in the PIN input. Even though other Android smartphones like OnePlus and Samsung already have this function, it isn’t built directly into the Android UI. This feature is available for Google Pixel 4a (5G), Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7a, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel Tablet, and Pixel Fold.

However, you’ll only be able to use the Auto-confirm unlock feature when you’ve set the PIN to 6 digits or more. It won’t work if you’ve set the PIN to 4 numbers. Moreover, this feature is less secure than tapping enter for confirming your PIN.

I’ve seen it say the Pixel Fold is supported with this, but I’m not seeing the option in my settings. Was what I read just incorrect info?
