Users not able to see Instagram Save feature on the web
When it comes to photo and video-sharing platforms, then Instagram is definitely one of the best. It is no big secret that Instagram doesn’t pay a lot of attention to its website version. Its latest change further cements that sentiment as the platform has made changes yet again. Earlier, the users were able to save a post or reel to the desired collection by hovering over the bookmark icon at the bottom right. However, this feature has gone missing from the website version. But don’t worry, there is a workaround to this situation.
How to fix Instagram Save to Collection Feature Removed or Missing
While Instagram has removed the ability to save posts to a collection from its website, the same hasn’t been confirmed for reels. As of now, the missing collection icon could either be an intentional change or a minor bug. Despite this reason, you can still access the functionality, although you’ll have to take the longer route.
Head over to the Reel creator’s account, go to their Posts section, and open the chosen Reel. You will see the option to add Reels to the desired collection. While this isn’t the most feasible approach to get the job done as you’ll need to manually visit the creator’s profile, scroll down, and save, currently, this is the best option. It isn’t known how long this method will work for you or if Instagram will bring back the Save to Collection button.
