Galaxy A51 and Galaxy S10 5G getting August 2021 security update

Samsung starts sending the August 2021 security patch to Galaxy A51 and Galaxy S10 5G. The rollout of the newest security patch was started in the last week of July and has now reached the various high-end, mid-range, and even some budget Galaxy phones.

The new software update for Galaxy A51 is rolling out in Brazil bundled with firmware version A515FXXU5EUG7. It is a minor security patch update. Therefore, don’t expect to see any new features, performance improvements, or UI tweaks.

Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is currently receiving the August 2021 security update on T-Mobile’s network in the US. It can be identified by the firmware version G977TUVS7FUG6. As of now, we don’t have the complete changelog, but it should not bring anything more than just a new security patch.

G977TUVS7FUG6 - Galaxy S10 5G August 2021 security update

As mentioned in Samsung’s documentation, the August 2021 security patch fixes 40 vulnerabilities related to system security and privacy. If you’re a Galaxy A51 or Galaxy S10 5G user in the specified region, then you might have already received the update. If you haven’t, then manually update your phone by heading to Settings >> Software updates and then tap on Download and Install button. We can expect the update to start rolling out in other regions over the next few days.
