Samsung is starting to roll out a software update for owners of the Galaxy M53 5G smartphone in certain regions. This release includes the May 2024 security patch.
The initial rollout has begun in Brazil, with additional areas slated to receive it soon. The update is an airborne and is currently being rolled out in phases.
The latest update for Galaxy M53 5G is tagged with the One UI build version M536BXXS6EXE1 and an installation package size of about 250MB.

The May 2024 security patch fixes 45 security problems. Google fixed 33 of these problems, including 3 big ones and 26 high ones. Samsung also made 25 improvements to features like Secure Folder and multitasking.
Like all security updates, this update is important to keep the phone secure from bugs and viruses and to help it run smoothly.
To check for the update, navigate to Settings > Software update > Download and install. For those not seeing the update notification yet, it’s only a matter of time as the phased global rollout continues.
