Samsung is rolling out the May 2024 security update for the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in Europe. This update is tagged with a One UI build version ending with HXE9, is also available for locked models in the US, and will soon reach more countries.
The update addresses 45 vulnerabilities, including 33 from Google, with 3 critical and 26 high-level fixes. Additionally, it includes 25 Samsung-specific fixes. The update is currently being rolled out in phases in Europe via OTA.
Like all other security updates, this incremental update aims to improve system security, optimize stability, functionality, and fix bugs, providing a better user experience.

- Open Settings
- Scroll down and tap Software update
- Tap Download and install
