Galaxy Z Flip3 and Galaxy Z Fold3 get the January 2022 security patch update

The rollout of Android 12 OS and the January 2022 security patch from the South Korean firm Samsung is in full flow. The company has already rolled out the latest security patch to over a dozen of phones, and it is continuously adding new members to the list each day. The latest ones are Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 and Galaxy Z Fold3.

The January 2022 security update for Galaxy Z Flip3 and Galaxy Z Fold3 is rolling out with the firmware versions F711BXXS2BUL8 and F926BXXS1BUL8, respectively. As it is a minor security patch update, don’t expect it to bring new features, performance improvements, or any UI changes. However, the update could bring general bug fixing and device stability improvements.

According to Samsung, the January 2022 security patch includes 52 fixes from Google and 10 fixes from Samsung. It improves system security and privacy. The latest OTA update for Galaxy Z Flip3 and Galaxy Z Fold3 is currently rolling out in select regions and should cover all the regions in the coming weeks.

  • Open Settings
  • Go to the Software Update section
  • Check for new updates
  •  Download and install the update (if available)
  • If no update is available, then check again after 1-2 days
  • Reboot the phone and explore new changes.
