How to program the remote?

1. For starting the manual code programming of your GE Universal Remote, you should prompt it to setup mode. For doing that, you need to press the “Setup” button. You shouldn’t release it until the red light illuminates the power button of the remote. Ensure that the red light is on before proceeding with the next step.
2. Once the power button is illuminated stagnantly, you must release the Setup button. Find the button on the remote that corresponds to the device you are programming it with.
3. Then, press the device button before entering the code from the table below that corresponds to your device’s brand and model. Enter the code via the number pad of the remote.
4. Once you have entered the code, the red light must be turned off.
5. To see if the programming is working successfully, test the Universal remote with the device. For that, aim the remote directly toward the device before clicking on various commands. Turn off the device using the power button before turning it back on using the same button. Test other buttons to see if the device follows the commands.
