Honor has started updating Honor 9X and 9X Pro to February 2022 security patch. The global version of Honor 9X Pro has started receiving the same update last month, which is now being rolled out for Chinese users.
Honor 9X and 9X Pro are receiving their latest software update with HarmonyOS 2 version 2.0.0.214, an upgrade from version 2.0.0.213. It is just a minor security patch and does not includes major changes like new features, performance improvements, or changes to the user interface.
The February 2022 security patch for Honor devices fixes over 40 vulnerabilities to boost system security and privacy. Therefore, it becomes to have the latest security patch available for the device.
According to a report from Huawei Central, the February 2022 security patch for Honor 9X is rolling out to model numbers HLK-AL00 and HLK-AL00a. For Honor 9X Pro, the update is rolling to its model number HLK-AL10. The update has just started to roll out. Hence, it may take a couple of days to reach all the users. Meanwhile, you can manually check for new updates using the steps mentioned below.
How to download the latest update on Honor 9X and 9X Pro
Via Settings app:
- Open Settings app
- Go to System & updates -> Software update
- Tap on Check for Updates
- Hit the Download and Install button
- Reboot the phone
Via My Huawei app:
- Open My Huawei app
- Tap on Update
- Now, tap on the Download and Install button
- Reboot the phone
