Here are the steps you should follow to enable secret code for locked chats on WhatsApp –
- Open WhatsApp
- On the main screen, you will get the Locked Chats option, so tap on it
- You will be able to use your fingerprint for unlocking the Locked Chats
- On the main screen, tap on the three dots menu located at the top right corner
- Then, you should tap the Chat Lock Settings from the menu that pops up
- Once you get the Secret Chats option, you should tap on t
- In the text box that gets displayed, you can either enter a word or use a single emoji as your secret code for locking your WhatsApp chats
- You will then be asked to enter your secret code again
- Once it is done, your locked chats will need you to enter the secret code each time you open up the chat
- WhatsApp will allow you to either use your fingerprint or the secret codes to unlock the locked chats
