Huawei Mate 30E Pro gets January 2021 security patch update

Huawei Mate 30E Pro starts receiving January 2021 security patch update in China. The smartphone was launched back in October and Huawei took a couple of months to release the first update.

The update is currently rolling out in China with firmware version 11.0.0.160. As per the official bulletin, the January 2021 security patch fixes 4 critical. 1 medium and 25 high levels of CVEs, which increases the device security.

Via Settings App

  • Open Settings app
  • Go to System & updates -> Software update 
  • Then, click on Check for updates
  • Download and install the update.

Via Support App

  • Open Support app

  • Click Update
  • Then, click on Check for updates
  • Download and install the update.
