Huawei P40 5G gets HarmonyOS 2.0.0.205 beta update

Huawei recently announced that 106 devices are running HarmonyOS 2.0, which have been upgraded from the EMUI skin. It includes Mate 40, Mate 30, Mate 20, P30 series, and more. The company has started rolling out a new HarmonyOS 2.0 beta update to Huawei P40 5G.

The new OTA update for Huawei P40 5G is rolling out to its model numbers ANA-AN00 and ANA-TN00. It upgrades the HarmonyOS software version from 2.0.0.16 to 2.0.0.205.

According to the changelog, the HarmonyOS 2.0.0.205 update adds the function of adjusting the size of the week to the desktop icon. It also adds “Sina post that supports the HarmonyOS universal card function”. The update does not bring some major changes or UI changes.

Huawei P40 5G users have already started receiving the HarmonyOS 2.0.0.205 update. It should reach your P40 5G with a pop-up notification. If you haven’t received it yet, then manually update the phone by navigating to Settings >> System & updates >> Update >> Check for updates >> Download and install.
