OnePlus users are in for a treat as OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14 is set to bring a host of exciting features and improvements to the OnePlus 11. While Android 14 is still in testing OnePlus has been actively participating in its development promising an enhanced user experience.
What’s New in OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14
OnePlus hasn’t released an official feature list, but Android 14 itself offers some exciting features like:

Bugs
As with any beta release there are some known issues that user should be aware of before updating. Regardless of region user may encounter one or more of the following bugs. Please note that carrier version devices (TMO/Verizon) are not compatible with the Open Beta builds.
- Flight Icon Display
Some users have reported that the flight icon displays on the status bar even after turning off the flight mode. - Flight Mode Control Center Issue
Turning on the flight mode in the control center might not be responsive at times. - Flashback in Notes
There is a reported issue of a flashback when entering Notes in the Shelf. - Black Screen with Step Tracker
Users have experienced a black screen issue when opening the step tracker page through the health widget in the Shelf. - Dual Channel Network Acceleration
The dual channel network acceleration function cannot be triggered automatically. - Quick Launch Gesture
Sliding your finger to the icon might fail to launch the app using Quick Launch.

For India
The OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1 update is scheduled for the Closed Beta testing phase in India. Indian users have an opportunity to participate in this Closed Beta Testing group.
Here are the details you need to know, courtesy of OnePlus:
- Application Period
You can submit your application from September 12 until a certain number of applications is reached. Please ensure you submit your application during this period, as the application channel will be closed afterward. - Quota
A total of 5000 users will be selected for the Closed Beta testing. - Ensure your phone is updated to the detectable version
Make sure device is running on either CPH2447_13.1.0.590(EX01) or CPH2447_13.1.0.591(EX01).
To apply follow these steps:
- Go to Settings > About device.
Tap Up to date.
Tap the icon on the top right. - Select Beta program and follow the provided steps to apply.
After the application channel is closed OnePlus will review your application within 5 workdays. If your application is approved you will receive the OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1 version within 3 workdays.
To download the version after your application is approved go to Settings > About device > and select Download Now.

How to Install OxygenOS 14 Android 14 on OnePlus 11
Before beginning the installation process it is crucial to back up all the data on OnePlus 11. Also ensure that device is running the latest available OxygenOS 13.1 firmware. To help users navigate through the installation process let us clarify some terminologies used by OnePlus:
- MP version: This refers to the Stable Official version.
- OBT Version: This stands for the Open Beta version.
- CBT Version: It represents the Closed Beta version.
For India
The installation steps for Indian users will be made available once the update transitions from the Closed Beta (CBT) phase to the Open Beta (OBT) phase.
For North America
For users in North America you can upgrade from the Stable Official (MP) version to the Open Beta (OBT) version of OxygenOS 14. Here are the steps :

- Ensure that device is running the latest OxygenOS 13.1 firmware, specifically version CPH2451_13.1.0.590(EX01).
- Download the OxygenOS 14 Open Beta file for OnePlus 11 from the provided source. Transfer this file to your device.
- Install the OnePlus Local Update APK on your OnePlus 11.
- Launch the OnePlus Local Update APK and tap on the settings icon located at the top right corner of the screen.
- Select the OxygenOS 14 Open Beta file that you transferred to your device. The installation process will begin.
- Once the installation is complete tap Reboot.
- Your OnePlus 11 will reboot and you will now be running the newly updated OxygenOS 14.
For Europe
As of now the release of OxygenOS 14 Android 14 for OnePlus 11 in the European region has not been confirmed.
