Internal testing of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 One UI 5.0 beta has begun!

Samsung is one of the first OEMs to begin beta testing for Android 13 on their devices. The firm has already released the Android 13-based One UI 5 Open Beta for the Galaxy S22 series. In addition to the S22 series, the company has also begun conducting closed beta tests for the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S21.

According to reports from Sammobile, the One UI 5 limited beta internal testing has expanded to include the Galaxy Z Fold 3 as the newest participant. There is no One UI 5.0 beta programme available to join for Galaxy Z Fold 3 owners, but this may change soon.

Without a doubt, the Galaxy S22 line will be the first Galaxy line to receive the stable One UI 5 based on Android 13. However, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is also expected to receive One UI 5.0 in the near future. And the first step is done with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 internal testing. Since the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s One UI 5 closed beta is currently in progress, the open beta should arrive sometime next month.

Internal testing of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 One UI 5.0 beta has begun

There’s no official word from Samsung about the Galaxy Z Fold 3 Android 13 update. The new Galaxy Z Fold 4 ships with Android 12L and One UI 4.1.1, thus it’s unlikely the Z Fold 3 will get Android 13 and One UI 5.0 before Galaxy Z Fold 4.

We don’t know exactly what Samsung has in store for the Galaxy Z Fold 3, but we can speculate that it may either receive One UI 4.1.1 or bypass this firmware update altogether in favour of One UI 5.0 and Android 13.

Users of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 won’t have to hold out for very much longer until they can try out the One UI 5 Open Beta. It is anticipated that the beta programme will become available for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3. Please let us know in the comment area if there are any questions that you have.
