Latest Samsung Galaxy M31s update brings the March 2022 security patch

Samsung Galaxy M31s is the company’s latest smartphone to receive the March 2022 security patch. The popular budget Galaxy M-series phone is receiving the new software update in India, based on Android 11.

The latest OTA update for Samsung Galaxy M31s has been started to roll out in India with the firmware version M317FXXU3CVA3. The latest security patch fixes over 50 vulnerabilities found in Galaxy phones that improve system security and privacy.

Samsung Galaxy M31s is also getting device performance improvements with the new update (per Sammyfans). Additionally, although not mentioned in the changelog, the update might also fix problems with device restarting and freezing.

If you’re a Galaxy M31s user in India, then you might have already received the March update on your phone. For those who haven’t, navigate to Settings >> Software Update to manually check for new updates.

Samsung announced the pocket-friendly Galaxy M31s back in 2020 in India with Android 10 out of the box. The device has already received one major OS upgrade in the form of Android 11. And, it is also eligible to receive Android 12, which comes with One UI 4 at the top.
