The brand’s first attempt at a smartphone was the illuminating Nothing Phone 1 and it ended up being a huge success. Now, several months after the launch of Nothing Phone 1, users are now anticipating the launch of Nothing Phone 2.

Rumored specs of Nothing Phone 2

As for the internals, the upcoming device is expected to offer a more premium experience than its predecessor. At MWC 2023, Nothing confirmed that it would be using a Snapdragon 8 Series process for the Nothing Phone 2. Although it isn’t known if the chip will be an 8 Gen 1, 8 Gen 1, or 8 Gen 2.

Further, the rumored specs also suggest that Nothing Phone 2 could have at least 12 GB of RAM, a 5,000mAh, support for virtual RAM borrowed from 256 GB of internal storage. Moreover, the device can also have an adaptive AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate.

Expected release date and price

Although there isn’t an official release date, the release of the upcoming smartphone is expected to be somewhere in the Summer of 2023 (Between June and September). It is expected the device might arrive around late June or early July. If the brand is nostalgic about dates, Nothing Phone 2 could arrive on July 12, exactly one year after the launch of Nothing Phone 1.

With the device getting a Snapdragon 8-Series chipset, software upgrades, design improvements, or improved cameras, the company is expected to ramp up the price. Considering its competitors powered by last year’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the upcoming Nothing device could arrive for an approx. ₹45,000 starting price in India.
