Nothing has confirmed the rollout of the new beta update on Twitter and its official website. Alongside the third beta announcement, the OEM has also confirmed the release timeline for Nothing OS 2.0, which is set to be released before the end of August.

If you’re looking to upgrade your Nothing Phone 1 to Android 14 third beta update, you can download the beta update package on your handset and sideload it manually. Nothing has shared the download packages and installation instructions. Here is the link to download the packages.
Third beta of Android 14 update for Nothing Phone 1 – Download
- Once you’ve downloaded the package on your smartphone, you should head over to Settings -> About Phone -> Software version and then confirm that your smartphone is running on Nothing OS 1.5.6.
- If your device is running on Nothing OS 1.5.6, create a folder titled “ota” in the internal storage before copying the file inside the folder
- Open the dialer on your Nothing Phone 1 and then type *#*#682#*#* to open the lock update tool, which will allow you to sideload the downloaded Android 14 beta on your device
- Tap Directly Apply OTA from the selection update and it’ll start installing the beta on your device
- Once it is done, restart your smartphone
