OnePlus 7, 7T Series Receiving New OxygenOS 11.0.2.1 Firmware Update With Android 11

In recent 1-2 years, OnePlus reputation in terms of software updates started to see a downfall. One of the major reasons was that the company was not able to release bug-free updates. To extend the software support, OnePlus recently announced OxygenOS’s code integration with Oppo’s ColorOS and promises to bring better software support. Time will tell the result of this integration. Meanwhile, OnePlus is sending OxygenOS 11.0.2.1 to OnePlus 7 and 7T that brings some notable changes and June 2021 security patch.

OnePlus seems to have fixed the Widevine L1 issue on OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, 7T, and 7T Pro which was limiting the users to watch videos in apps like Netflix at a maximum of 480p resolution. Install the OxygenOS 11.0.2.1 update and enjoy videos at maximum resolution. OnePlus has also reduced power consumption and improved overheating control management. So, you can expect the battery to last a little more and less overheating during gaming or other high CPU-intensive tasks.

The OxygenOS 11.0.2.1 update for OnePlus 7 and 7T series fixes the File Manager crash issue, camera blurring issue when shooting on fullscreen, and improves the Camera stability. The Dialpad UI display effect is getting optimizations with the new update.
