Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G gets RAM Plus feature with the new update

Chinese smartphone manufacturers Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, and IQOO are few brands that provide RAM expansion feature, either through a software update or as an in-built feature. Now, Samsung has joined the party, as Galaxy A52s 5G has started receiving the RAM expansion feature. Samsung calls it “RAM Plus”.

RAM expansion (also known as virtual RAM) takes some part of the device’s internal memory to work like RAM. It should be noted that virtual RAM does not give a major boost to performance, it only helps in making multitasking better. Some of the smartphone companies are using this feature as a marketing technique, especially during the launch event. I want to make one thing clear that, never consider Virtual RAM as one of the buying criteria.

Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G is the company’s first phone to get the RAM Plus feature. It comes with a software update that is currently rolling out in India. The update is bundled with the firmware version A528BXXU1AUH9. We can expect the brand to release RAM Plus to more devices as the days go by. Additionally, the update improves Camera stability. With RAM Plus feature, Galaxy A52s 5G users can add 4GB of virtual RAM to enjoy better multitasking.

Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G users in India have started receiving the RAM Plus feature with the new update. If you haven’t, then manually update your phone by navigating to Settings >> Software updates, and then tap on Download and Install. The update may take a few days to reach all the units. In case, there is no update available, try checking again after few days.
