Samsung is considered among the best OEMs for sending regular updates to their smartphones. The company has already released March 2021 security patch updates to several smartphones including Galaxy S21 series, Note 10 series, and now rolling out to Galaxy A8 (2018).
The latest update for Galaxy A8 (2018) can be identified by the firmware version A530FXXSICUC1. Apart from a new security patch, the update does not bring any new features or UI changes.
To update your Galaxy A8 with the latest package, navigate to Settings >> Software update then tap on Download and install. If no update shows available, then wait for few days and try checking again.
It’s worth mentioning that Galaxy A8 (2018) does not come under Samsung’s promise to get at least 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security patches. But, the device may continue to receive more security patches for a while.
