Samsung Galaxy Fold 5G and Galaxy S10 Series join October 2021 security update party

Samsung started its October 2021 security update rollout in the last week of September, which has now reached over a dozen of Galaxy phones. Now, South Korean giant is sending the latest security update to Galaxy Fold 5G and Galaxy S10 series.

The October 2021 security update for Galaxy Fold 5G is rolling out in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and the UK. Soon, it will be heading to more regions where the device has been launched. It is bundled with the firmware version F907BXXS6FUI5. In addition to a new security update, the update includes stability improvements and general bug fixing.

Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, and Galaxy S10e are receiving the new OTA update in Central Asia and European countries with the firmware version G97xFXXSDFUI5. While the Galaxy S10 5G is reportedly receiving the new update in Austria, Nordic countries, Switzerland, and the UK. It can be identified by the firmware version G977BXXSAFUI5.

Samsung recently detailed the new security patch, according to which it fixes over 60 vulnerabilities related to system security and privacy. If you’re a Galaxy Fold 5G or Galaxy S10 series user in the specified regions, then you might have already received the update. If you’re still in the queue, then manually check for the update by heading to Settings >> Software updates.
