A few days ago, we covered the news about the green line issues on older Samsung Galaxy flagships, where Samsung was charging to fix it. However, it now appears that Samsung has started offering the service for free.
Samsung India has extended a free display replacement program to Galaxy S22 Ultra, S21, S20, and Note 20 series devices. Even if your phone is out of warranty, the company will replace the affected screen, battery, and rework kit for free until April 30, 2024.
The green line issue, an OLED defect causing thin vertical green lines on the screen, has been reported by some Galaxy S22 and S21 users after the April 2024 update. To support affected users, Samsung is offering one-time free screen replacement within three years of purchase.
Initially, this free service was limited to the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series. However, as newer flagships like the S22 and S21 are also affected, Samsung has extended the program to cover these devices as well. Authorized Samsung service centers are now providing this free replacement service.
