Verizon Galaxy S20 FE 5G gets July 2022 security update in the US

It’s been near a month since Samsung started rolling out the July 2022 security patch, but there were some well-known devices like the Galaxy S20 FE 5G running on an older security patch. Although Samsung has already released the July security patch to the device, it was not available on the Verizon carrier in the US until today.

The latest software update for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G users on the Verizon’s network is tagged with the firmware version G781VSQU6FVG3. It mainly brings the July 2022 security patch to improve the system security and user privacy by fixing numerous vulnerabilities of different severity levels. It’s a minor security patch update. Hence, do not expect to see new features or UI tweaks. It mainly brings some under the hood changes.

The July 2022 security patch for the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G fixes over 50 vulnerabilities. These are linked to Samsung Finder, Knoxguard lock, Messages app, Contacts storage, Wearable Manager Installer, and more.
