Asus starts pushing the Android 13 update for ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro

Asus is a brand that is renowned for its revolutionary phones, especially its iconic ROG lineup. The ROG Phone 6 and ROG phone 6 Pro are two of the best smartphones available in the market currently.

Now, Asus has finally pushed the Android 13 update for ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro. The OEM has released this update for some other devices as well, such as Zenfone 8, Zenfone 8Z, Zenfone 8 Flip, and Zenfone 9.

The ROG Phone Series is the gaming phone series by Asus and major updates are expected to involve improvements and features related to gaming. The ROG Phone 6 is the latest iteration from the iconic lineup. The devices were released last year and came with Android 12 OS out of the box, which means that Android 13 will become the first major update for the lineup.

Asus shared the release notes of the Android 13 update for the latest ROG Phone 6 lineup. The new update will be rolled out for the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro with the build number 33.0610.2810.72.

As for the new changes, the new Android 13 update will bring major changes such as the new ROG UI design, QR Code Scanner in the lock screen, revamped stock apps, per app language preferences, and more. The update will also upgrade the firmware to Android 13 while there are also revamped Mobile Manager, Emergency Dialer, Phone, Contacts, File Manager, Gallery, Calculator, Sound Recorder, Data Transfer, Settings, Local Backup, Game Genie, Armoury Crate, and more.

The new Android 13 update is being rolled out in batches. If you own a ROG Phone 6 or ROG Phone 6 Pro, you should expect to get the update soon. Many users have already received the update. If the OTA update notification doesn’t work, you can just look for the new update manually from Settings.
