However, several users are not able to flash the fastboot firmware of MIUI 14 to downgrade HyperOS due to some errors. That means it doesn’t seem easy enough right now to use the flashing method. Before jumping into the downgrade method, if you’ve recently installed any plugin on your Xiaomi HyperOS device and the bootloop issue starts onwards then make sure to uninstall updates of the System UI Plug-in. Go to Settings > Apps > Manage Apps > Three dots icon on the top right side > Show all apps > Search for System UI Plug-in > Tap on it to open the App Info > Tap on Uninstall Updates and confirm the changes. Next, you can try booting your handset to check for the potential soft brick or bootloop issue.

Steps to Unbrick Your Xiaomi HyperOS Device

  • Press and hold the Vol Up + Power buttons simultaneously to boot your Xiaomi device into the Mi Recovery menu.

  • Press the Vol Down button to navigate to Wipe Data.
  • Now, press the Power button to select it.
  • Again use the Vol Down button to go to Wipe All Data.
  • Press the Power button again to confirm the process.
  • Once the data is deleted, go back to the main menu again.
  • Go to Reboot and press the Power button to select it.
  • Next, press the Power button again to select Reboot to System.
  • Wait for the Xiaomi HyperOS device to boot into the system.
  • This will completely delete the phone’s storage data to fix the soft-brick issue.
  • After booting into the system, you should complete the initial setup process.
  • You’re good to go!
