How to get and use a Heart of the Sea in Minecraft

The “Heart of the Sea” is a mysterious and rare object in Minecraft and the players can find it in Buried Treasure chests. This mysterious orb is the key for building a Conduit, a beacon-like utility black in Minecraft that offers the Conduit Power buff. Players within the Conduit’s effect radius are able to swim faster, breathe underwater, and have Night Vision while submerged. This type of device will be handy for building underwater structures or marine activities like farming for Drowned Tridents. In this guide, you will get to know how to get and use a Heart of Sea in Minecraft.

How to get and use a Heart of the Sea in Minecraft

For finding a Heart of the Sea in Buried Treasure, many Minecraft players should first obtain a Buried Treasure Map from the shipwreck’s map chest. The players can find the wreck by feeding raw cod or raw salmon to the dolphins, leading them to a nearby shipwreck.

Once you’ve obtained a Heart of the Sea, you’ll be able to craft a Conduit by putting the blue sphere in the center of a Crafting Table’s grid and surrounding it with the Nautilus Shells x8. Nautilus Shells have a small chance of being acquired from fishing or can drop from slain Drowned. The players can exchange Emeralds with Wandering Traders for Nautilus Shells. One shell costs Emeralds x5 and could be purchased up to 5 times per trader.

Once you’ve crafted a Conduit in Minecraft, the players will have to collect Prismarine-type blocks for activating it. Prismarine, Prismarine Blocks, Prismarine Dark, and Sea Lantern blocks can be used for the Conduit’s activation. While a minimum of 16 blocks can initiate the Conduit’s Power, the players can also build larger frames, which allows the power’s effect to have a farther radius. Minecraft Conduits emit light and start a pulsing animation after they have been successfully activated.
