Honor Play 3e launched with Helio P22 SoC, dot drop notch, and more

The Honor Play 3 was launched in China last month and now the Play 3e is official. The Honor Play 3e offers a dot drop notch display, single rear camera, MediaTek Helio P-series processor, and more. There are two RAM and storage variants available in this device. Huawei and Honor always trying to deliver affordable good looking camera-centric smartphones. Now, it will be nice to see whether the single-camera can compete with other entry-level devices or not.

Though the device has a slightly smaller battery as compared to other same price segment devices. It’s available in three color options such as Black, Gold, and Blue. It comes as an entry-level budget segment device in order to compete with other entry-level phones in the Chinese and Indian market. Therefore, soon the handset will also launch in India under 10K price tag.

Honor Play 3e Specifications

The Play 3e runs on Android 9.0 Pie over EMUI 9.1 custom skin out-of-the-box. It’s a dual Nano-SIM phone features a 5.71-inches HD+ display with 720×1520 pixels resolution with dot drop notch style. It’s powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core SoC coupled with 2GB and 3GB of RAM. While the phone has 32GB and 64GB of internal storage options. The storage is expandable via a dedicated microSD card up to 512GB.

It has a single 13MP rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture lens and a 5MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens on the front side. The device packs a 3,020 mAh battery. In terms of the connectivity options, it includes Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, USB OTG, GPS, GLONASS, and more. While the device has an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.

Price and Availability

Honor Play 3e is priced in China at CNY 699 (INR 7,000 approx) for the 2GB+32GB model and CNY 899 (INR 9,000 approx) for the 3GB+64GB model. The device will be available in China VMall and other Chinese online websites.

However, there is no confirmation available for the Indian launch yet. We have to wait for it.
