Here are the steps you need to follow to add or invite friends in The Finals –
Step 1: Add your friend’s Embark ID
- Click on the icon beside the nametag in the top-right
- On the top left, you’ll find the Embark ID, which you’ll be able to share with other players so that they can add you to their friend list and invite you to games
- On the bottom right, you’ll notice the yellow button for adding a friend
- Here, you will need to enter their Embark ID
- If someone sends you a friend request, you’ll be receiving them under this tab
- You should navigate and accept it to add that friend to your friend list
Step 2: Enable crossplay
- Click on the cog wheel located at the top right for opening the options menu
- After that, you should select the Settings
- In the Settings, you should navigate to the “Crossplay” settings in General
- Make sure that it is turned on as it’ll allow your console friends to join you in the lobby
Step 3: Invite friends to your lobby
- After that, click on the Plus symbol in the lobby to open the invite screen
- You will be taken to the social menu
- For PC invites, if you’ve got a friend added to Steam, you should click on the plus icon beside their name to invite them
- If you have to invite a console player and you’ve added them through Embark ID, you should navigate to their account and press the plus icon beside their name to send an invite notification
- Once your friend has accepted the invite request, they’ll be able to join your party
