How to change audio output in Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro

Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are the latest smartphones from the Google family and they checkmark most qualities that a smartphone user will want in their phone. However, there are a few minor yet crucial issues that are still missing. These include the inability to unlock the smartphone after typing in the correct PIN or the fact that the Clear All button in the recent apps is located at the extreme left instead of at the bottom. Now, there is another issue to this list as users aren’t able to change the audio output in Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.

What is Change Audio Output in Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro issue?

Suppose you’re listening to a song through the car speakers by connecting your Pixel smartphone to the car via Bluetooth. Then, you receive a WhatsApp audio message and you wish to listen to the audio on your smartphone instead of the car speakers. However, you will not be able to do that on the go. Instead, you will first need to disconnect your smartphone from the car and then play the audio on your phone. This is in stark contrast to other smartphones like OnePlus, which have the feature to switch the audio output on the go.

Once you receive the WhatsApp audio, you’ll have to bring the Volume menu up, tap on the audio switcher icon, and choose the desired output source. However, this feature isn’t possible on Google smartphones. With that said, there is a workaround that’ll help you with this issue.
