How to check Storage Space on Steam Deck

There might come a time when you have to check the system storage on the Steam Deck. Fortunately, Valve will make the entire process hassle-free and you’ll be able to check the storage as per your needs. To check the storage space, you’ll need to follow these steps –

  • First, you’ll have to open the Steam menu by pressing the Steam button.
  • From the Steam Menu, you’ll have to scroll down and head over to the Settings option.
  • In the Settings menu, you should scroll down for finding the Storage option. You’ll now get the internal drive and microSD card options on the right. You can easily navigate to the same and check how much storage space each game is occupying on your Steam Deck.

The storage menu will allow you to browse the folder where the files are being stored. Further, you’ll also be able to repair the folders in the drive and move the files from internal storage to external storage. You can even sort the files based on size, alphabetical order, and last played.

The other alternative to checking storage will be from the desktop via browsing the Dolphin file explorer, which is the file explorer in Linux. For doing that, you should switch to the desktop mode via the Steam Guide menu. Then, click on the folder icon present on the taskbar.
