How to fix iMessage Activation issue in iOS 17
Method 1: Toggle network
- First, you need to go to Settings -> Wi-Fi and then disable the toggle next to Wi-Fi
- After that, wait for a few seconds and then re-enable it
- If you’re using a cellular network, you should head over to Settings -> Cellular Network
- Now, disable the toggle next to it and wait for a few seconds before re-enabling it
- Check if the iMessage Activation issue is resolved
Method 2: Toggle iMessage
- Go to Settings -> Message -> iMessage
- Disable the toggle next to iMessage
- Now, wait for a few seconds before re-enabling it
- Check if it fixes the iMessage Activation issue
Method 3: Reset the network settings
- To start off, you need to head over to Settings -> General
- After that, go to Transfer or Reset iPhone before selecting “Reset”
- Then, tap on “Reset Network Settings”
- Check if the iMessage Activation issue is resolved

- Uncheck your phone number
