Huawei has released a new software update for Huawei P30 Lite and Nova 7i. The latest software update is based on EMUI 10 and brings the January 2022 security patch on both devices.
The January 2022 security update for Huawei P30 Lite comes with the firmware version EMUI version 10.1.0.542. Huawei Nova 7i, on the other hand, is receiving it as EMUI 10.1.0.393. The January 2022 security patch fixes numerous vulnerabilities to improve system security and privacy. The update is unlikely to bring any other changes like new features or performance improvements.
While Huawei P30 Lite has not been included in EMUI 12 roadmap, Nova 7i users have started picking up the stable EMUI 12 build. The company might soon make the stable EMUI 12 build available for a large number of Nova 7i users.
How to download the latest update on Huawei P30 Lite and Nova 7i
To download the latest software update via the Settings app, navigate to Settings >> System & updates >> Software updates >> Check for updates.
You can also check for new updates from the My Huawei app. Open the app, tap on the Update button, and follow the instructions to get the latest software update.
