LG G8S ThinQ launched with Snapdragon 855, triple rear camera, and more

LG has launched another flagship-grade smartphone in its new G8 lineup called LG G8S ThinQ. The G8S ThinQ will be available in Europe, Latin America, Africa, and in the Middle East countries as well. The device will go on sale from this month. Most importantly, the G8S ThinQ device also features the Z camera solution at the front which uses a time-of-flight (ToF) sensor for gesture recognition. It also can be used as a biometric recognition feature.

LG G8S ThinQ Specifications

LG has just announced the device but not announced the price yet of G8S ThinQ officially. They have mentioned that the price will reveal at the time of sale. It also feels premium metal and glass build which is expected from an LG flagship device. It sports a 6.2-inches Full-HD+ OLED display with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 855 SoC, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage options.

The LG G8S ThinQ sports a triple rear camera setup of a 12MP primary camera + a 13MP super wide-angle lens + a third 12MP telephoto lens which supports 2x optical zoom. On the front side, it packs an 8MP selfie camera with ToF sensor. It runs on Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box and packs a 3,550 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. It includes connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, USB Type-C port and 4G LTE SIM support.

The handset also supports Hand ID and the Face Unlock for biometric recognition and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as well. The G8S ThinQ also comes with MIL-STD 810G certification with IP68 water and dust resistance support. The smartphone weighs around 181 grams and available in three colors like Mirror Black, Mirror Teal, and Mirror White.
