Oppo Reno5 5G and Realme 7 5G clears IMDA certification

Last week, the Oppo Reno5 Pro 5G carrying model number CPH2201 appeared on India’s BIS and Singapore’s IMDA certification. Today, the vanilla Reno5 5G with model number CPH2145 appeared on IMDA certification.

The Reno5 5G series was launch earlier this month in China and its India launch was teased by the company without any specific date. But now, it looks like we are not too far away from the launch. Rumors are rifle that Reno5 5G will make its way to India in January 2021, but we’re yet to hear an official announcement.

Realme 7 5G IMDA certification

Apart from the Oppo smartphone, the Realme 7 5G also clears IMDA certification. This hints that the company is planning to bring Realme 7 5G to Asian markets too. It is one of the best value for money smartphone for the current year.

The Reno5 5G offers a 6.43-inch OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout for the 32MP selfie shooter. Around the back, it has a quad-camera setup which includes a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP depth, and a 2MP macro sensor.

Under the hood, the Oppo Reno5 5G is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset coupled with 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB onboard storage. The phone packs a 4,300mAh battery and supports 65W fast charging. Other notable specs include a USB Type-C port, an in-display fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth v5.1, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

It comes with a 6.5-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a left-aligned punch hole cutout to house the 16MP selfie camera. Under the hood, it is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset paired with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB of storage.

The Realme 7 5G has a quad camera setup on the back consists of a 48MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. The smartphone houses a 5,000mAh battery and supports 30W of fast charging. It has a starting price of about £279 in Europe.
